Resources

From websites, to books, and social media black women are bridging the gap between health and wellness. Here’s some of my faves that have been amazing resources throughout my journey.

1. Someone who originally inspired me because she was this amazing publicist, is now someone I look up to for her work in wellness for black women. Christina Rice created  Omnoire to be a social wellness club for women of color dedicated to living WELL. She has orchestrated gorgeous wellness retreats (one of which I’m DYING to attend) and has built a community of women dedicated to becoming better versions of themselves.

2. Remember the lack of diversity in the wellness space I mentioned before? Well, The Black Wellness Community  aims to fix that by bridging the gap between people of color and wellness. This site shines a light on black women doing amazing things in the wellness community and not to mention they have some cute merch!

3. I’m finally stepping into this podcast world and am making an effort to listen to them during my morning routine/commute. One that I have been listening to is Affirm, which was created by Davida Roberts who is taking her skills as a licensed therapist to help WOC affirm their worth, value mental health, and seek wholeness. I have enjoyed her topics and her chats with guests, I literally feel like I’m right in the room with them chatting with my girlfriends.

I’ll make sure to continue adding to the list as I find new resources and I’ll definitely add some books because ya’ll know I’m trying to get that back on track lol.  I hope you ladies visit and/or listen and enjoy them just as much as I have. Let me know in the comments which one(s) were your fave!

Bye for now!
